Mitsubishi Motors South Africa has added a new limited version to its local range, claiming that ASX Sport offers "added value" of R30,000.
Using the ASX GLX derivative as a base and available in gray or white, the limited edition model is available in the price R399 995 … exactly the same as the model on which it is based.
The local arm of the Japanese automotive industry says ASX Sport is separated from its siblings mainly from its decal set, which includes carbon fiber inserts as well as black and orange details (a shape similar to that used in Triton Athlete bakkie) . In addition, it runs on a set of Black Alloy-specific models.
Inside, you'll find an upgraded entertainment system with a full seven-inch touchscreen featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as designer carpets. Leather upholstery (with heated front seats), electrically adjustable driver seat and panoramic glass top are also included.
Under the bonnet, the ASX Sport features the well-known 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine and the five-speed manual transmission. The Perak outputs are unchanged 110 kW and 197 N.m.
As with the remainder of the series, the issue of a limited edition is covered by a three-year / 100,000 km warranty and a five-year / 90,000-km (15,000-km) plan.
