The Domestic vehicle production declined 11.8% in October compared to the same month of the previous year, while wholesale sales fell by 50% over the same period, the Automobile Industry Association (ADEFA) said today.

"In October, national vehicle production was 38,659 units, 3.7% more than in September and 11.8% lower than the same month's previous year," a report released by the entity said.

In this respect, he considers that in the wholesale sales the sector sold 37,207 units to the dealer network, which showed a 12.7% decrease compared to the previous month and 50% compared to last October. "
He also pointed out that the sector exported 22,028 vehicles, ie 5.6% less than the previous month and 4% more than in October last year.

From January to October, the industry showed a production of 409,366 units, representing an improvement of 3.7% compared to 394,900 units recorded in the same period last year.

He also said that "the car exported 22,028 vehicles between cars and light utility vehicles in October" to drop by 5.6% compared to the volume exported in September and to increase by 4% compared to the 21,176 units exported in October 2017.

"A total of 220,365 units were exported to the annual cumulative terminals, or 27.9% more than the same period in 2017," he said.

Analyzes that monthly wholesale sales statistics show that 37,207 units were sold to the network in October.

With part-October, the cumulative of the year stood at 600,303 units sold on the network, 16% less than sales of the same period last year.

A few weeks ago, members of the ADEFA filed their claims with Production and Labor Minister Dante Sica and expressed their "concern" about the decline in activity and wholesale sales in the sector.
