To remember World Diabetes Day and raise public awareness of Type 2 diabetes, the Association of Youth Diabetes (ADJ) launched Good Day – Every Day, Every Better Day! The goal of the campaign is to draw attention to the importance of early diagnosis through consultations and examinations and the need to comply with the treatment indicated by the physician.
The campaign also highlights the warning for changes in the habit and lifestyle that people diagnosed with the disease should adopt.
According to ADJ, videos will be uploaded to the social networks of the association (Facebook, Instagram and Youtube), with testimonies from guests who will talk about the causes of illness, treatments and forms of prevention. The first video, with actress Danton Mello, who is the ambassador of the campaign, is already in the air.
"We want to urge people to start every day with optimism, following the one day principle, committing the day we always live: the day today. Without imposing on yourself timeless decisions based on "I will never …", which results in great disappointment, "said the director of the marketing by Servier, Rafael Borges.

According to ADJ, the disease can occur in any person in any age group, but the greatest risk is between people over 40, obese and seated. Inheritance, high alcohol consumption, hypertension, cholesterol and altered triglycerides and the history of gestational diabetes are also risk factors.
Diabetes is a progressive disease and, if not treated properly, can lead to complications such as cardiovascular disease, hypertension, renal insufficiency, loss of vision and even limb amputation.
