Portugal took its own against Italy in Milan and achieved its goal

Italy and Portugal made a very tough match 0: 0 in League A, Group 3 of the League of Nations.

The duel between the two sides played on the Giuseppe Meazza in Milan and the Italians needed a victory with every honor to hope that they could finish first in the team and approach a straight Euro Euro2020 attitude. Overall, both teams had interesting opportunities, but the goals did not fall, making the evening boring for viewers.

The Iberians were without big star Cristiano Ronaldo, who was not called for the tournament with his express wish, and the match was more special for the Italian defender Giorgio Cielini.

He scores the 100th match with the national jersey of the country. After this match, Portugal is at the top with 7 points and Italy is the second with two fewer and one more match. With this, the "sailors" secured their first place in the team before the match with Poland.

The meeting started very actively for the hosts who made a good start shortly after the start of the game, but Injeri was shot by Rui Patricio and eventually Skuadra Adzura failed to achieve the desired early goal.

The hosts kept pushing their opponents tight and making them harder, but the pitted situations were hard to create by the Roberto Mancini guys and had to be happy with the game's control.

In the 35th minute, Immobile was in a great position but for a few meters failed to write and eventually the "Azzurri" missed the opportunity to reach the goal after Patricio saved his shot.

Shortly after, Bonucci just took a ball to the opponent's door after a foul, but did not reach for a few centimeters to do it.

Until the break, there were no hits and the result remained at zero draws.

The second half started strongly for the Italians, but they did not manage to reach the goal again and in the 50th minute Kieza's shot was blocked very skillfully by an opponent.

In the next few minutes there were no dangers ahead of the two doors and the battle was passing around the central circle of the field.

In the 74th minute, Mario made a bad hit, but he flopped over the crossbar, and two minutes later, Donaruma had to make a fantastic rescue to keep the door behind Carvalho.

The leader in the lead for the two teams continued in the end and ended up without targets.
