Goalkeeper Jarry Teara, who came out to the North Delta, made history finding the earliest today.
In an empty net at the opposite end of the ice, he scored a goal for Wilkes-Barre / Scranton Penguins in the AHL 5-1 victory over Springfield Thunderbirds in a matinee game on Wednesday (November 14th).
"Jarry became the first goalkeeper in the history of Penguins and the 14th in the history of AHL to record a goal," says a position on the group's Youtube channel.

In 2017, Jarry became the Pittsburgh Penguins's top goalkeeper after Matt Murray went down with a foot injury.
Since then he has split his time between the NHL and the Penguins Farmers Group in Wilkes-Barre / Scranton.
Years ago, Jarry, born in 1995, was in the French dipping program at Devon Gardens Elementary in the North Delta. Later, he was trained at Burnsview Secondary before going to the Hockey Academy in the South Delta. From there, he played four seasons with WHL Edmonton Oil Kings before the Penguins made him in the second round, 44th overall, in the NHL 2013 Entry Draft.
