The first collision, one of the new transantiago electric buses, was recorded today. According to the Metbus company, which controls the fleet of clean energy cars, the accident would lead to a poorer car driver's bad maneuvers, according to the first-known antecedents.
The incident occurred in the morning in Suanoa, in the corner of Avenida Grecia and Ramon Cruz. Humberto Franchini, the company's operating manager, said that a van moving west from west to collide with the electrobus without turning into traffic light. The impact caused damage to the buffer and the windshield, which will be repaired this weekend.
The Transport Minister, Gloria Hutt, said the case was investigated and called for the protection of users of electrical equipment. Despite the incident, Metbus, Peñalolén and Santiago Centro continued to have a good appreciation of the 519 route. So far, 66,000 users have been transported by electrobuses.
Meanwhile, this Saturday will be added to a new contingent of non-polluted buses on the 516 route between Pudahuel Sur and Peñalolen. Franchini also acknowledged that there were complaints from users on social networks because air conditioners did not work on some buses, so that drivers were stretched to stop him.
