On Wednesday, the National Council for Women (NCW) conducted the second training program for instructors from rural leaders and branch members to Sharkia Governor, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Egypt to get information on the right ways to reduce waste and lose food at home.
The President of the National Council for Women Dr. Maya Morsi said the program includes female council members and rural leaders from the Health, Agriculture and Solidarity Departments. The aim of the program is to improve the economic and environmental performance of agri-food products through the developing nutritional value chain. According to a monitoring program for training about 10 women, bringing the total number of training beneficiaries to around 600 women.
The main objective of these training programs is to raise awareness of the need to reduce wastage and wastage at home, taking into account healthy diets, food safety and hygiene, as well as the production of scientific resources for dissemination and wider use.
