Change your phone number to Whatsapp – Knowledge Knowledge

Munich (dpa / tmn) – If the mobile phone number is changed, it can also be changed in the Whatsapp messenger application. To do this, insert the new SIM card into your smartphone and start Whatsapp.

Clicking on the three-point menu adds the settings to the account. In the "change number" subdivision, enter the old one first and then the new number. The service then sends a confirmation SMS to the new number and the process is completed.

Now the messenger can be used as before, only with a new number. Grouped contacts are notified of the number change. However, individual contacts must be informed of the change so they can communicate once more.
