The first heart replacement of central India was performed without surgery

Nagpur: At first for Central India, a 83-year-old man received valve replacement without surgery and local anesthesia thanks to the Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) replacement process. Jaspal Arneja and his team made the exclusive process of completing the replacement of the valve in just 90 minutes compared to the six hours in the traditional form. According to Dr. Arneja, the previous type of surgery is considered as a "significant" surgery due to the dynamics.
This required almost 10 days of hospitalization, "said Dr Arneja.
Arneja added: "About 55 procedures have been done using the valve built by indigenous people and all of them were successful.
Its cost will certainly be much lower, perhaps less than 50% of the imported counterpart. "The valve has a life of about 10-15 years.
