Director of the Department of Informatics and Enterprise PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) Bimo H. Purbo said he was providing licenses to Bank Indonesia (BI) for the QR Code ownership license.
"There are two things: firstly, BTN manages BI licenses to own a QR Code to acquire transactions," Bimo said during the IDC 2018 Indian Business Forum in Jakarta on Thursday (11/15/2018).

"Secondly, we also work with other banks to work together in the QR code," he said.

"What is clear is that BI has an initiative there, is still being discussed," he said.
He also explained that the existence of QR Code technology needs a lot of preparation and there are several mechanisms that need to mature.
