Disappointing rival Moshe Leon on Wednesday as a "no public legitimacy," Jerusalem's presidential nominee Ofer Berkovitch predicted a victory in her retirement next week for the top job of the city.

Jose León will face Omar Berkovic's ending on November 13, after no one gained 40% support in the October elections to win.

"We will win on Tuesday, win over, beat cyclists, win because Jerusalem understands what their politicians may not yet understand," Berkovic told a press conference.

Referring to the numerous agreements Leon had signed with the leaders of Jerusalem to win their ratifications, Berkovic said he enjoyed the support of Jerusalem's ranking and dossier. "All [Leon’s] voters are a great political agreement and has no public legitimacy to lead Jerusalem, "Berkovic said.

Leon had won the support of both Shas and Degel Hatorah haredi. As haredim accounts for 40% of Jerusalem, it is difficult to win elections throughout the city without their support.

Leon, a close confidant of both Le Liberman and Shas leader Aryeh Deri, has been underestimated by allegations that the defense minister has proposed to abandon a law that allows students to avoid the IDF project in exchange for Leon's support.

Berkovic also blew Jerusalem's Jewish leader, Hagit Moshe, in support of Leon. "Hagit Moshe made political and not moral judgments and rejected this partnership, this alliance of religious Zionism with general Zionism," he said.

"If I am elected, not only will I not judge against religious Zionism, I see them as allies for maintaining the Zionist character of Jerusalem," said Berkovic, warning that "Religious Zionism is likely to lose the city of Jerusalem, one thing we will remember for eternity.

Despite reports that the Jewish home will support Berkovic, Moses announced earlier this week that the religious-Zionist party would support León instead. Leon was also approved on Tuesday by outgoing Mayor Nir Barcak.

"From my close acquaintance with both candidates and my work with the couple, I have no doubt that Moshe Lion is the best choice for Jerusalem," said Barkat.
