Yesterday, 78 road accidents were reported in Latvia, where 22 people were injured, police said.
Yesterday, 12 people were injured in a traffic accident in Riga and its surroundings, five in Lagola, three in Zemgale and two in Kurzeme. Six of the victims were pedestrians. Police arrested six drivers for alcohol driving yesterday.
For over speeding, 185 protocols are issued to drivers. In the Riga region, 64 drivers were punished for speeding violations, Vidzeme – 54, Latgale – 27, Zemgale – 23, while Kurzeme – 17 drivers.
Altogether, police reported yesterday 460 protocols on traffic offenses.
