The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 just flooded the competition to be named Engine Start The best car to buy in 2019. It's easy to understand why, but that does not mean we did not like the other four finalists. In fact, we would like to incorporate items from each to create the perfect Frankencar from lots of our five best cars to buy 2019 finalists.

Our team of 2019 finalists was as different as it ever was. It even included the first electric vehicle ever to be taken into consideration for our prize. How will this drive system be incorporated into our perfect monster, if not at all? Exactly what parts of the Corvette would we hold? And what aspects of the other finalists would we use to build a Frankencar for 2019? You should keep reading to find out.

Motor: The 2019 Frankencar engine combines elements from two of our five finalists. To provide power, we want the instantaneous torque provided by the I-Pace electric motors, a benefit of electric cars. But I-Pace does "only" 394 horsepower. After this initial push, we would like Frankencar to deliver the remaining propulsion tasks to the over-powered V-8 LT-6 LT5 of the Corvette ZR1 in all 755 hp and 715 pound feet of torque glory. Accelerator Mash and ZR1 release all this power without hesitation – whether the speedometer is going to reach 60 mph or 110 mph, power continues to build.

We #GiveAS carry these parts, so Frankencar gets us the 7-speed manual gearbox from the Corvette ZR1. We like the feeling of engaging with the car that provides, the easy to fit the clutch and the smooth, reasonably small shots.

As for the sound, the blatant battle of the V-8 V-8 of the Corvette ZR1 is the music in our ears and everyone in a few miles. It gets so loud in the second gear with the full stroke, it can make your head ring inside a helmet. Ear plugs do not hang.

Style: For the overall design, the Audi RS 5 gets the crown, especially in the five-door Sportback format. It's like a mini RS 7, which is a good compliment. The winged wings, the large wheels and the conical roof give it a non-stop presence on your face and the hatchback design adds value. The large specialized exhaust units for RS say RS 5 also means business.

Inside RS 5 has the latest technology, but it's all German. The digital meter cluster and tablet-like display on the instrument cluster keep the technology constant, and each switch, selection key, and key works with satisfactory precision.

If there was a way to put a piece of Jaguar I-Pace into the mix, we would not oppose it. The all-electric hatchback in stilts does not look like anything else on the road, but is immediately recognizable as Jaguar. It commands a "what's this from the future" way. Its interior could also contribute. The seats are gorgeous with a slim design that does not sacrifice comfort.
