Phoenix Fuel aims at another important moment of his new existence while Alaska hopes to kill the ghost of the old heart attacks against San Miguel Beer when they get a crack in the semifinals positions today in the quarter-finals of the PBA Governors Cup Astrodome Cuneta.

The second-class Fuel Masters captains are eager to hit midnight at No. 7 Meralco Bolts at 4:30 pm. while silver seeds no. 3 seek to address the intense challenge of the extraordinary Beermen at 7 pm

Both Phoenix and Alaska have a double-beat advantage as a reward for completing the elimination round in the top four.

The win will give Phoenix its first semifinal limit since the franchise bought the Barako Bull franchise two years ago.

Behind the entrance of Eugene Phelps, Calvin Abueva, Matthew Wright and LA Revilla, Phoenix presented the best conference in the history of the group at 8-3, perhaps a sign that the Louie Alas-coached team has established itself as a force must be taken into account.

Wright believes that winning the bonus twice in the beat is just the beginning of the brightest things.

"I'm not just thinking about playoffs, we're thinking about finals and thinking about championships," Wright said.

But before they get ahead of themselves, the Masters Fuel welcome a decisive challenge from the Bolts, who survived with 1-6 wins by winning the last four games to claim a four.

King of Best Input Allen Durham, Chris Newsome, Baser Amer and Cliff Hodge lead the effort of Meralco to force a knockout fight on Friday.

Meanwhile, coach Alex Compton and Aces will likely come back from the long-running results of the series of defeats that the franchise suffered against Beermen between 2015 and 2016.

But Alaska is interested in taking advantage of the edge he has won twice to win the 8-3 draw and give San Miguel early vacations despite gaining a small advantage with June Mar Fahordo after losing most of conference with an injured shin.

Compton will stretch the entrance of Mike Harris, Chris Banchero, Simon Enciso and Vic Manuel to defeat the talented Beermen fired by Kevin Murphy and Contender's Best Player Christian Standhardinger.
