Yemen is a member of the UN advisory committee

Yemen won the membership of the United Nations Administrative and Budgetary Affairs Advisory Committee on Saturday between 2019 and 2021.

Yemen's Saba news agency reported that Yemeni's first secretary in the Yemeni New York delegation, Amjad al-Qaim, voted 124 votes in favor with 66 votes for the South Korean candidate at the UN headquarters in New York.

The Advisory Committee consists of 16 international experts on financial and administrative matters and is tasked with formulating the recommendations of the United Nations and the UN agencies, peacekeeping missions and administrative affairs.

Yemen is the first to compete for the international position in the United Nations and the victory over the rival of the South Korean country is a sign of Yemeni diplomatic, diplomatic and diplomatic abilities and competences in international fora.
