The Monument of Patriarch Pate, Former Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, was revealed on Thursday in a plateau in front of St. Mark's Church in Belgrade
BELGRADE – A monument to Patriarch Palente, a former head of the Serbian Orthodox Church, was revealed on Thursday in a plateau in front of St. Mark's Church in Belgrade.
The monument was discovered by Secretary General of the President of the Republic, Nikola Slakovic, Belgrade Deputy Mayor Goran Vesit and Urban Ecologist Milutino Foleic.
Selakovic stated that Patriarch Palais was a man who, in a difficult, fatal period of temptation, was the voice of speech, the voice of God, a sign of right life and thought. "He called all of us, whom we were his contemporaries, to remember not only to remember but to talk about him and tell him about the future generations of those through whom he spent his life and how he preached his word God, "said Selakovic.

Goran Vesett stated that Patriarch Palais was a man who rose above his role in society and in this way showed in all ways to follow. The monument is the work of Sculptor Zoran Maleš and was founded on the initiative of the City of Belgrade and with the blessing of Serbian Patriarch Irinai. Nine years ago, on this day, Patriarch Paul died in 95 years. The Supreme Head of the Serbian Orthodox Church was from 1990 to 2009.
