The current number of diseases in mosquitoes in the Trebišov region has risen again


In particular, unvaccinated children are ill.

Trebisov. In Trebišov, the number of mosquito diseases has increased and the Public Health Service has reported 33 cases.

Most, sixteen, are sick in Sečovce and Parchovany, where they are nine.

Three cases are in Trebišov and Hrčeli and one case in the villages Plechotice and Kravany, informed Mrs. Daša Račková, representative of the Public Health Service (ÚVZ).

There has been an increase in the number of diseases in the region since September.

"The Trebišov Regional Public Health Bureau provided anti-epidemic measures to outbreaks in cooperation with health care providers, school facilities and field aides," the spokesman said.

The sickest are among the children

Diseases are particularly relevant for those living in poor hygiene conditions.

Most cases are seen in children who have not yet reached the required age for compulsory vaccinations against measles.

Epidemiological research continues.

Altogether this year, Trebišov reported 37 diseases.

The previous outbreak of measles in the districts of Michalovce and Sobrance was terminated, the last disease reported on 20 September 2018.
