Two of the men arrested over a hot image of the Grenfell Tower have been named Bobbi Connell, 19, and his father Clifford.

The couple are said to be among the five who handed themselves to a southern police station in London on Monday, as videos from the burn model made a virus.

Bobbi's grandfather, David Connell, told MailOnline: "It's a horrible thing we have to do given the tragic loss of life. It's in terribly bad taste and totally shocking and I do not leave it at all. I do not know what they think. What are they doing?

Their boyfriend Paul Busetti is believed to have come to a fire party at home. His family said on paper that feared for their lives after a joke "escaped by hand".

The Metropolitan Police said that men – two aged 49 and the others aged 19, 46 and 55 – were delivered to a southern police station in London at 10:00 on Monday.

They were arrested on suspicion of a public order offense and detained.

He told BBC Breakfast that it was a "disgusting attack on vulnerable people," adding: "We have no doubt that there are genuinely decent, generous people throughout Britain, and this real act does not represent ordinary Britons.

"But there is a worrying rise of racism in the country at the moment. And this is because it now starts to be directly influenced by us, which means we really have to think about what we are doing and how we will respond to it as a whole. "
