The girl, aged 11, donates organs after being hit and killed by car

Tributes have been paid to a "music" student who died after being hit by a car.

Emily Williams, 11, was hit by Mercedes in Swindon, Wiltshire, on Friday afternoon.

He was transferred to the Bristol Children's Hospital but died today.

The Emily family has paid tribute to the "welcoming" child who donated her hair last year to a charity providing wigs for infants of poor age.

In a statement, her family said: "Emily was very musical and always sang.

"Last year, Emily donated her hair to Little Princess Trust providing wigs for children suffering from medical conditions or injuries.

"Emily's hair was braided and had bows and ribbons and then was a professional cut to make the donation.

"Emily has donated her instruments to help others."
